Course Description:

The course was originally designed by Tom Field in 1926 and then underwent a re-design into an 18-hole course in 1929 by Stafford Vere Hotchkin. The course setting is rather impressive with views that run deep to Durban’s beaches and an abundance of indigenous flora and fauna to enjoy.

The Penncross bent grass is resistant to winter temperatures and ensures that the course is scenic all year round. Water is used effectively around the course to add interest and difficulty. Being set in a nature conservancy area, you can expect to see Woolly Necked Stalks, African Hoopoes and Crested Barbets that inhabit the lush parkland.
