Plettenberg Bay is known as The Jewel of The Garden Route. With spectacular views of The Indian Ocean, towering mountains and indigenous forests, early Portuguese explorers called the bay Bahia Formosa (beautiful bay).

The owner Ben Moolman welcomes you to Thanda Vista – and he promises that, with his intimate knowledge of the area, you will find there is so much to do you will want to stay forever. Ben had retired from a long career in the mining industry. He purchased Thanda Vista and took the reins in the busy season of 2018. He immediately started renovating the guesthouse to create a unique holiday experience for his guests. Along with his two doggies, Aero and Carla, they add their personal touch to ensure a memorable time for their guests.
